About Pinpointing Potential
“In this competitive world, companies need to go above and beyond to find out what their employees want and deliver on it”.
– Ciara Aspinall, Director-
Ciara Aspinall
I founded Pinpointing Potential with a simple vision to help businesses thrive by inspiring and developing talent and to drive business results with impact and purpose.
Originally from Belfast, I spent almost 20 years living in the Caribbean and now live in Cheltenham, England. I therefore consider myself to be in a unique and very privileged position to have more than one place that I call “home”.
I have a degree in Business Studies and German and a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration (MBA).
I am a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD), a member of Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM), a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), a member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and a member of the Career Development Institute (CDI). I am an Investors In People Practitioner, a Genos Emotional Intelligence Training Practitioner and Master Trainer and am certified in a number of other evidence based behavioural leadership, employee engagement and feedback tools such as Insights Discovery and Investors In People.
I am a people person through and through. I want to build relationships and make a positive impact on people’s lives and have over twenty years’ professional experience helping businesses to achieve excellence through their people. My experience spans throughout the professional services industry, working with some of the top international financial services and law firms; into the hospitality industry; SMEs; not for profit and charitable organisations. I have sat on numerous boards and assisted clients through significant organisational change.
I am an energetic motivator and problem solver with a successful track record of driving businesses, developing strategies that align to the company vision and values, hiring, training and developing the very best talent and providing them with exceptional opportunities to thrive. I develop long and rewarding partnerships with clients, providing incomparable levels of service.
My biggest professional achievement to date is helping to establish, grow, develop and lead a highly successful, highly regarded and innovative recruitment and training and development consultancy in the Cayman Islands. Being the Investors In People Champion for the company, our highest accomplishment was being accredited as a Platinum Investors In People employer and then measured and rewarded with the Investors In People Platinum Employer of the Year Award in November 2019.
I love working with companies who are passionate about their people and who believe in investing in them and firmly believe that investing in your employees is the smartest business decision you can make. Richard Branson put it best: “Customers come second, employees first. It’s a philosophy that brings unexpected benefits to both the company and its clients”.
I live and breathe the company’s values. I have the highest levels of integrity in everything that I do. I am authentic – what you see is what you get! I am passionate, energetic and always looking for opportunities to give back. When I am not working in or on my business, I am happiest being surrounded by amazing family and friends and love meeting new people and understanding “their story”. I am passionate about health, fitness and well-being and looking at life as a dynamic adventure. I am a life-long learner and have a zealous lust for life.
